Different Roses For Different Folks

As cheesy as this may sound but when I started this blog I was adamant about one thing; for it to serve a purpose. At the time I did not know what that purpose would be. My cousin came to visit me this past weekend and after observing my life and the unique bond I share with my friends, she gave me a brilliant idea!

I want to dedicate my blog to young professionals. I'm talking about beautiful and intelligent women who manage to hold a perfect balance between academia and the cosmopolitan lifestyles without having to be an obsessive "hustler." Ladies who chose the path of less fame but more phren. Those that did not conform to the pressures of missing out. Women who work hard and play hard. Success is very subjective to each one, not all of us can be in a reality show or play the lead in a soap (Well done to those that do!). I salute my girls at Deloitte, KPMG, Transnet etc. I do not think you should ever feel the pressure to live up to the hype of Johannesburg's social trend. Fame comes and goes and like everything else with a hype, it does eventually simmer.

Just for thought: Imagine a sunflower trying emulate an oriental Lily, a rose or a tulip. How easily and quickly would it lose its own unique beauty...?

*Dust The Rose* (or Lilac, or Iris or Daisy...Lol)
